Summers County Office of Emergency Management and Enhanced 911 is the primary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for Summers County, West Virginia. We provide efficient and professional dispatching for emergency agencies, along with planning and leadership during emergency events that affect our citizens. Our telecommunicators are fully certified, with training that exceeds the requirements of the State of West Virginia. Our mapping office provides addressing and mapping services to our current and future residents that satisfies "Proof of Residency" requirements along with accepted guidelines for 911 addressing.
Summers County is now using Everbridge to send out warnings, alerts, and notifications for the citizens and visitors of Summers County. Users can sign up for this service free of charge by clicking the link below.

FOIA Requests
Summers County Office of Emergency Management and Enhanced 911 follows the requirements set forth by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Records held by this center are limited to:
· Recordings of phone calls made to the 911 Center for the past 3 years
· Radio traffic between the 911 center and first responder agencies for the past 3 years
· Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) reports showing a text record for calls of service for the previous 3 years
· Limited statistics regarding 911 Center Activities
Please note that Summers County 911 does not maintain, nor have access to Police, Fire, and EMS reports. You must contact those agencies directly.
Requests should be submitted to the Summers County 911 Center via US Postal Service mail, or by facsimile. The current cost to locate and duplicate records held at Summers County 911 starts at $25.00 per hour and any shipping charges for mailing of requested materials will be the responsibility of the requester. We cannot accommodate same day FOIA requests, and we cannot make spoken to written transcripts of 911 recordings.
